Just thought I'd post up a few photos of local drag racers running A-bodies at the local strip (Music City Raceway aka Union Hill). These are actually the guys and cars that inspired me to buy my Dart.
Have only seen this sedan out once. Due to my work schedule, I can only get out to the track occasionally, so maybe it's out more often and I've missed it.
This guy's Dart was originally built for export, going to a serviceman overseas. But the original buyer was transferred back stateside before the car was finished, so it ended up being shipped to him in the U.S. Pretty cool story, eh?
This last one belongs to a younger guy who has been building it as he goes along. He's painted it since these photos from last summer, but I haven't had a chance to get back to the track lately.
That's it for now. Once this pandemic is over and the track reopens, I'll be back out there with my Nikon. And maybe running my own '74 down the 1/8th-mile!
