More Sideways than forward..

Driver door "needed" it, (original body work was mediocre at best, half *** attempt at pulling the dent was made. ) Driver rear quarter needed some, same situation. Once all the paint and primer was removed, i hand scrubbed every inch with more stripper to get down to pure metal. This whole process took days and days.

There is a large amount of putty, but after grinding through it, my buddy said that 80 percent of it really wasn't necessary.

I used to own a '68 Barracuda Convertible. I already had the '68 Notch at the time. It always looked funny to me but I could not put my finger on it. When I started stripping the paint and bondo off the car I figured out what it was that had been bothering me. They had put so much filler on the car that they had moved the body line up about 3 inches. It looked Camaro-ish, maybe even done on purpose?

Wow, that's unreal. Did you see the pile in the pics at the end of page 3? It's a little paint, and mostly mud.
Who would do that?!

Thanks for the reply!

Ok, so impromptu Poll here, I'm vacillating between roughly these 2 colors. Both will have pretty heavy metallic. I'm wanting to get your wonderful opinion on what you guys think! So let me know what color you like best, thanks!

from those two, i dislike the green the least

the sheen on the bottom car looks way off for a classic mopar, in my opinion

Things are clearly on a slow pace here, but i knew that going in. Lots of small rust repair around the wheel wells, and rear window track. I rhino lined and sound deadened the entire inside cab. All dents pulled and massaged, a good portion of the car is skimmed (as all paint jobs are). Were wrapping up a paint job on a 78 F-100, then FINALLY on to this beauty.

Green!

Here is the lighter green from the '70 'Cuda, but on a '68 Notchback 'Cuda:

And here is a darker green:

Is there a certain company i should be buying my door and truck seals from? I can use some of mine, but need at least one. thanks.

There's a red-maroon similar to that car pictured on the 18-19 Challengers and Ram trucks I believe. If you want to keep it all Mopar, LOL.

I've had good fit and seal with the Softseal stuff. It has been the best of any so far. I also carefully use the black 3M Super Weatherstrip adheasive, so I don't see any yellow( the other color available).

Regarding the metallic, avoid it if you can. It takes good technique to get right(even and consistent ) the first time, and it's very hard to touch up or repair so you can't see the difference if you need to.

Looking good! Rome wasn't built in a day. They did it over a long holiday weekend with lots of union help and a gov'ment stimulas package!! !

Thank you guys, It's a lot of fun.

Q: Anyone using a Brake Booster on a BB conversion? I have early 70's disc conversion already, and want some more "WHOA", you know?

Looks good. I used a late model master cylinder on my big block Dart. Had plenty of braking power without a booster.

Same, never had an issue with the '73-'76 A body brakes (on car from 1988 to 1998), or the 11-7/8" police brakes (from 1998-2014). I switched to 13" with 4 piston Brembo style calipers, still no booster, but have not driven it that way yet. Dr Diff sells the correct master and adapter. I have the offset adapter that moves it a little over to get it farther away form my 440. I also have a heat shield I bought some time ago. I see the offset adapter listed, but not the master by itself. Just call him, you will be glad you did.
