"Travel accessories" for the present time

You are assuming that everywhere you go is a war zone. But that is incorrect. Your example is poorly applied.

You are completely off base here in many respects. There is no such thing as a 'war one' or a 'time.' Yes there are places that are much more likely to be a war zone, and times that are more and less likely. But anyplace, anytime, and THAT is nto paranoia. It is fact. Some of the most brutal crimes I've heard of happened in a parking lot in the middle of the day, in a shopping center. Robberies. Muggings. Carjackings.

You are also over seriously taking what started out to be "light." I don't normally run around with 2 or 5 or 10 firearms strapped to myself. BUT I AM normally armed. And YOU would never know it.

Allow me to educate you further. I've been the victim of TWO attempted muggings in my lifetime. One was before self protection became legal in WA state, and the other was "at work."

The first was a LONG time ago, in the early 80's I was working in Spokane, or as some of us call it, "Spokamentro." There is a convenience store on the way to the freeway E 90 to go home. I stopped there sometimes going home for a bottled drink or water. One night I'd stayed late at work, late in the year, so I'm headed home after dark, perhaps 7-8PM. I pulled into this store lot, did not think a thing. Around the corner of the store comes two "gentlemen" AND THEY HEAD DIRECTLY FOR MY car. I had just stepped out, took one look, got right back in, and slammed the door. One of them came RIGHT up to the window, and by then it was running and in reverse. I didn't wait for more, slammed the throttle and backed up. Didn't even look if he was clear. THOSE PEOPLE were not lookin to become "my friends."
You had to be there. That was WAY too close for comfort

The second was in the late 90's. I was working, alone, after dark, at a tiny radio site down near Othello, WA called "RADAR Hill." Off in the trees not far away is some sort of itinerant housing and maybe trailers. I did not hear these three wetbacks approach........drunk. It was clear they were looking for trouble, and one of them was much bolder. We had been doing tower work and there was a piece of an antenna mount right there at the tower. I took a baseball swing at the guy, and I was intending to do serious damage. He moved some, and I hit his shoulder. The combination of the blow and him moving, and maybe alcohol, he fell down. I "recocked" and the second guy started to turn around. The guy in the back figured it out and he was already headed "out." By then the guy on the ground noticed the lack of support, so HE got up and left.

I WILL NEVER AGAIN if I have anything to say, be "without."

This is the site near Othello
