1971 Swinger Build \6-V8 Swap

Now getting to trans and torsion bar area of Ole' Dutch/Dodge, Or as some of my friends like to call Dutch "THE SHART"! The transmission is a A904 that when purchased was Already rebuilt. Just to be sure I had it looked at by a transmission company and they re gasketed whatever they opened.

The 2 pairs of torsion bars that I have in my garage, one came with the purchase of Dutch the other came when buying parts from a Sale of a parts car 72 318 4 door swinger. The ones that came with the Dutch/Dodge were for a 2 barrel 318 #'s .091 and .092. The ones I had picked up from the parts donor were for 4 barrel 318 #'s .093 and .094.

So far currently drivers side torsion bar went in no problems but, passenger side has a header pipe in the ways so must work around and solve that problem. Also for people wondering if the transmission was the right length for the Tail cone drive shaft. It was and I also purchased a 318-904 driveshaft, Thanks to eBay giving the right trans mount with proper new rubber piece and correct bracket, This also includes the drive shaft. Currently all of this is hand tight bolted up in a mock up and all connected to the 7.25 or 7 ¹/⁴ rear that came with the slant 6.
