So I got the tach apart, no signs of anything leaking or busted. Anyone got any ideas as to where to go next

Check the smoke reservoir... Electronics run on smoke, it's like blood to them... If you let too much of the smoke out, they won't work.... Fill the smoke back up and put it back together....
