Summit price match??

I mostly had good experiences with Summit price matching.. not so much on this last little order.. it is quite a discount and it seems as there's a limit..
Has anybody else had a problem?..
 
I have not had an issue with Summit, buying, returning or ordering through them for moser (saved on shipping). Can you give details on the item? maybe you are getting the supermega deal

I should say I never had a problem with Summit and they have always given me amazing customer service! Again this one seems to be a little steep for them LOL..
 
Perhaps it is a bit steep for them? The sales guys probably have a little note next to each item to say “NO!” Just throw in the towel in that one because it is cheaper than what they got it for. That place could have said, “Just dump it!”
 
I'm betting that jrenalof.com is a scam site. The 'service' email at the bottom of the page brings up a lot of scam topics when searched online.

I've known people who bought from these types of sites that seem to sell everything from classic car parts to baby formula, and most wind up getting *something* in the mail, but not the item they ordered.

That's probably why Summit doesn't want to play in this instance.
 
look at fb and the wish ad. 250 heatshrink butt connectors in all sizes for 4.00. SCAM

You can bet I was not going to send my money to that shady looking website but just check to see how far Summit would price match. Apparently not that far LOL...
They said they would match and beat this one by a dollar...

Same here. If it's below their cost they won't do it. I tried when Tamraz was offering 50% sheet metal last year.

wonder if thats listed wrong by them.. it happened with a hitch receiver i wanted. i'd have to look up the company but it was listed way cheaper then i had even seen it before so i figured i'd grab it while on sale. go to check out and its full price. i called them and they said it was listed wrong but they would honor it. i said cool and bought it at the discounted price. took them over an hour to change it on their website too..

Of course the first guy I got onl the line was saying that that was less than half their cost? Well their cost isn't $180 it's 158.
I did call a second time just to get someone else who wasn't so standoffish. But both times they said they couldn't find the website and both times while I had them on the phone I pulled it up on my phone and had no problem... I'd rather them just say no then try and b******* me...

I found it the night before for $84 on another site and then checked today and couldn't find it and that's when I found the one that I listed. And that's why I called them while I could still find it! LOL...
Look at what I want? Good Lord that thing could be worth $35 retail... For what you get it's a tough pill to swallow..

I agree I always use the chat feature. That way I can screen shot my cart or the site itself.
 
I’ve had them price match a lakewood bell and my K1 rods. They tried to log on to the web sites and almost order them. The lakewood they gave me some trouble with but still matched within 25$. Like you said, it’s easier to trust Summit than a random site. The rods were way cheaper than any other list, this was 3 or so years ago and they did match that price. Unfortunately they were the correct box, wrong rods(chevy crank sized). They exchanged them, but was pretty inconvenient at the time. I found the rods on a tuner site searching the p/n. I assume they ordered them for someone and were offing them for cost, as they did not have any other 8cyl rods.
