They just confirmed, 5 tornadoes on the ground last night. F1s and F2s. All within 20 miles of me. Closest tornado to me was 7 miles to the northwest as the crow flies, went right thru the town I mentioned last night.
the damage and stuff just down the road about half a mile, they are saying is from a funnel that never touched down and was mostly the flanking downdrafts aka straight line winds. Estimated speed in excess of 90 mph straight out of the northwest. Highest officially recorded was closer to town at the airport and that was 84 mph.
dang we got lucky. No life threatening injuries reported and no real damage here at my place.
