Reverse cooling

Yeah, I know what it is and why, but my "what's the point" comment was saying why do it when a good conventional cooling system works well? IMO if reverse cooling is something you feel the "need" to do because of over heating, you probably have other problems.
Rusty, reverse cooling puts the coolest water into the cylinder head. That should reduce combustion chamber temperature and help to reduce pinging. That would then have the potential to run more ignition advance, if what was being ran was not optimal and was being limited due to pre ignition.
Reverse cooling is like most performance tricks, not optimal for all and is something done in conjunction with something else,,,,
