Stop in for a cup of coffee

Oh, and I have been looking in from time to time and have the following things to say...

This viruse WAS NOT a bioengineered weapon. Only fools believe that bullspit. Epidemiologists have traced it back to the bats it came from. Period.

The people who have tested positive for the virus after clearing it have NOT become reinfected. They are just showing viral load again and are NOT showing illness again.

The antibodies in the immune system after having it DO provide some protection against getting it again. What is unclear is how much it protects or how long it lasts...but there are NO recorded cases of reinfection in people what have had it. Ignore the news spin.

Stop listening to the amateur scientist on the news who don’t know WTF they are talking about and start reading the Science publications. And yes, we do have a VERY good understanding of what’s going on...but the news doesn’t.

People in my profession are working hard to develop treatments and vaccines for this thing and idiots spewing conspiracy theories and false interpretation of the science ARE NOT HELPING.

I’m done...my head hurts.

I haven’t been on much lately, i’m still fighting the effects of having COVID-19. It’s been 3 weeks now.

Fortunately it was a mostly mild case, but it was...and still is...unpleasant.

I have lost 60% of the vision in my left eye due to COVID conjunctivitis and it’s like looking through an ice cube. My vision is totally warped.

I also have no sense of smell on the left side, the right side is still working.

Docs say it will clear eventually, but in the mean time I can’t do any artwork and reading is a chore that makes my head hurt. It’s like losing my right arm.

My wife and daughter are fine and show no symptoms. Thank God for that.

My wife knew I was feeling depressed and made the lasagna that was handed down through our family from an old Italian immigrant woman that my Mom was good friends with 50 years ago.

Sometimes, food is Love. It just came out of the oven a little bit ago.

Good to here you are on the mend. Hope to all gets better soon.

And it sounded like you were being very careful... Any idea how it got you?
Yes, I am 90% sure I got it from a person who had no symptoms but got too close to me talking loudly in my face on March 16th. I saw him a week later filling his car at the gas station and noted to myself at the time that he looked like he had a cold. I haven’t had contact with but 4 people in the past 3 weeks and 2 of them live in this house.

Have a couple people like that I avoid at work. So far, very few around here have it. But you never know... I started wearing amask last week whenever I have to work near someone. After too many people spend time with others this weekend I plan to double up my efforts to avoid any close encounters without a mask.

I had blurry vision 2 - 3 weeks ago where it was difficult to read... That's when I had to take a day off of here for a few days....
