What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Awesome and productive day!
302 heads gasket matched and cleaned.
I was not brave enough to open up the exhaust runners wide enough to fit my wooden handle screwdriver all the way through.

@318willrun would you get a measurement for your screwdriver handle diameter and maybe post it in the description on your YouTube video?

Soaked the heads with degreaser and drove down to the quarter car wash, washed the car while the heads soaked some more. As soon as I started washing the car, we got a powerful thunderstorm. Just more scientific proof that if you wash your car, it causes rain.

The Thunder Gods of Torque showed their passion for Mopar and started their big blocks and small blocks and roared across the heavens leaving great big huge billowing clouds of white tire smoke in the sky, enough to make the hairs on your arms stand up and take notice.

Also got some aluminum cutting dremel bits to start in on matching the intakes.

After all the work my son and I went for a long walk together, that was the best part of the day. :)
It was a good day.

edit:
looks like I'll be lapping the valves in some time this week, then I can get some flapper wheels and polish the chambers. May as well do this over the top stuff now, even if I'll only be running this 318 for a year or so. It's not like I'm short on time. lol I figure I'll do the final polishing after everything is together so I don't mess up the seats.

This is the proper way to show our dedication to our Lady of Blessed Acceleration...
