What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?
Was going to do this a year or so ago... had picked up a slug of T6061 aluminum, but never pulled the trigger as there were better and more fun things to do... Then along comes covid19 and the world comes to a screeching halt ! So now I call this my COVLID2020 project and fired up my Manual Lathe (No damn CNC) to make my Aluminum Billet COVer LID for my Air Cleaner... for an exact fit for the (K&N E-1120) filter I use... For the lower Large Air Horn base plate I made a Beauty Ring to match the top cover and to hide the rubber base so only the breathing Pleats show...
These photos span about 4 days... the Time Flew by... and I'm pleased I did not screw up... As I only had material for one shot... I also move slowly now days as I'll be 75 next month...
