I am looking for a home for this Plymouth emblem to the left of the Scamp script, but don't know what it fits. It has a piece of thin black plastic on the back that the mounting posts stick through. One is a big post for mounting (push in I think cause there's no threads on the post, and little pin that would keep the emblem from spinning on the mounting post. If you take the plastic piece off it has a cast recess with the following numbers and a pentastar: 3443260 and below it
31772-55 062

One thought was a 71-2 Satellite in front of the hood

70/71 duster standard grill had one. Probably used on more than one application.

Agree.....
Also 71 Roadrunner and GTX

That's what I thought I was getting. I was at a swap meet, saw it and snapped it up only to find that was not the right one (which I subsequently found).

Confirmed - 1971 Satellite, Belvidere, Road Runner and GTX. Not 72 - in that year the whole recess seems to be filled with a chrome disc of various kinds depending on model.

yep the valiant and Duster emblems are different although looking head on they are about the same size and appearance, but this one is raised up to stand out in that cupped recess in the hood header panel for 71 B-body cars.

WOW !!! Glad to have a very tiny part (yuk, yuk) in your project...
