I put Sachs shocks on the wagon last year. They're more expensive than Monroe or Gabriel, but nowhere near Bilstein money. I've been happy with them for a daily driver type ride, I think they are a better shock than Monroe or Gabriel.
And I'll agree with 72blunblu, anything is better than KYB. I made that mistake on my Scamp, the ride would be nicer if I welded steel tubes in place of the shocks.
