If this is in a truck, I wonder if a pickup Ford 9" would be worth a look.
Nearly a bolt in and LOTS of gearing options.

Hello again Motor Pirate, I may still be interested in the 8-1/4 with the 2.45:1 gears. Any other rear axles you'd part with? Another offset pinion 8-1/4 a body Mopar rear would be okay, gear higher than 2.45:1 would be okay as it's getting an NP435.

I know one person that put 4.10 in the 2.45 housing and my brother had a 2.94 installed into a 2.45 housing. While back on ebay someone had a set of 2.24 gears.

It's the only one I have besides a BBP 7 1/4...

Okay, sounds good. It’s probably a 2.76 but I’d be more interested if it’s a 2.94 or 3.2 something. I think they were still a 9 bolt cover weren’t they?

7 1/4 is 2:76 (9 bolts)
Didn't open it it's still full of oil from when we removed it.
Been inside a concrete floor warehouse.
Here are some pics of the 8.25

I took out 2.45's out my 8.25. Never heard of 2.56 gears.
There probably isn't such an animal, or it's such an oddity there probably aren't any left. Randy's R&P and another site lists carrier break at 2.56, but it would appear impractical to have such a gear exist between 2.71 and 2.45. It wouldn’t surprise me to see one turn
up, as ChryCo was backpedaling hard to get fuel mileage under control along with emissions standards.
