hey guys,

I started to get into the body on my Dart and have noticed a few issues with the fit on some parts IE: corner trim pieces that go between the lower front windshield and the drip rail molding are off on each side. My one quarter panel extension piece doesn't line up with the quarter panel like it does on other side.

Do you guys correct these issues when you're doing your cars or do you leave these flaws as is?

just curious because my OCD is killing me right now LOL

Personally I would correct it if it's easy to correct. The quality control on stuff from this era was spotty at best, shitty at worst. Unless your going for some sort of award, I wouldent go too crazy with it unless it really bugs you.

I try to be as precise as I can, but that is just me. If I need to ream a hole for a better fit I would do so.
If your car has been painted these issues would have been better addressed before paint. I don't
understand the correlation between windshield moldings and drip rail moldings. In my mind they are
not related, unless you are referring to vertical windshield moldings as drip rail moldings.

I'd fix it if it won't take major metal repair. I had to split and section my right rear outer taillight housing opening on mine to make it level with the trunk one.. then I noticed it on almost every one of the 66's I saw (looks like a jig error at the factory and 65 look to be the same)
