I think using a cutoff wheel on the Dremel to get the basic raw opening, then switch to the sanding drum to finish it would work best for you if you have those attachments.
I do a lot of Dremel stuff.:D
Way kool, I have one of those too, except the cluster is done with Cyberdyne digital gauges. Never made it to the Duster, so Im going to sell it. I did some dremel work back in the 90s when I was in car stereo, but not so much anymore. Love my Dremel though :)
