When you get sick from CORONA VIRUS, you will have a fever, a high fever, the highest fever that you have ever had in your life. It is not going to be like the typical flu n fevers. You're going to breathe slowly like you've had a sponge stuck in your nose. When you'll try to fill the air in your lungs by inhaling heavily you will feel like you are still short of breath. And that will scare you. You are going to cough a lot, so much so that you're going to tire until you almost pass out. Every time you do it, your chest, arms, back, fingers, toes will hurt. You will try to catch air through the nose and you will not be able to. So, they are going to give you oxygen and it is going to burn the entrance to your nose, which is going to hurt even more. And if you can't breathe, another doctor will come and put a couple of half-inch tubes down your throat to get past the bronchi and into the lungs. That is called an artificial respirator. It is really disturbing n annoying, and on top of that, you cannot speak or eat.
You will be alone in a closed room. You will not be able to see your partner, your mother, or your father, or your children that you love so much, or your brothers; because you are going to infect them with the same thing that is killing you.
You will feel so alone that you will start to cry and you will be afraid of dying. You will think of the ones you love and you will cry, even more, that will worsen everything hence the shortness of breath.

*THIS IS WHEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY THEY TOLD YOU: "STAY AT HOME"

SO PLEASE STAY HOME FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVED ONES

Why is this in the joke section? Don't think it is funny.Needs to be in the General section so everyone see this.

Nice job of making the point.

Or some don't even realize they have it and are out running around spreading the love.

We know those are the worst of the symptoms besides death. What about the people don’t even realize they have it? I know I’m not gonna stay cooped up until a vaccine comes out or it somehow becomes safe everywhere.

Glad you are better!
Thanks but I was never sick with this virus thank goodness. This was posted by someone else on Facebook and thought people should know what you're facing if you don't listen to medical people. Remember 6ft apart or 6ft under...your choice

But be smart about it when you do go out. Keep your distance and wash those hands regularly. If we don't eradicate it now it'll come back with vengeance and spread light wildfire. Look up The Black Plague on Google and see how many people died from that. They didn't have the anti-biotics back then but no drugs are killing this virus as of yet. Till then be well

So you would feel justified shooting random bullets up in the air? You're not aiming them, but they could kill someone else when they come down. Same with the virus. You may have it and not suffer the symptoms. But you still carry it. You can still kill others. If you can't stay home to protect yourself, then stay home to protect someone else. You may feel like your personal freedom is being taken away, but you in turn could be taking away someone else's ultimate freedom- their right to live.

People seem to think by isolation that it will keep them from being exposed to the virus.

All the isolation does is control the rate at which people will be exposed. The reason is not to overload the healthcare system and with the exception of a few places (New York City, etc) we haven’t. Current numbers are between 25-50% of ICU beds and ventilators being used.

Eventually everyone will be exposed to the virus and either you will survive or you won’t.

Nobody makes it out of this world alive:thumbsup:

The experts of viral diseases say this stuff will not go away until 65-75% of the population has been exposed, ....or a working vaccine. In the US today it is estimated 5%of the pop. has been exposed. A pure guess no doubt.
Some then ask, why are we going thru all this stay at home, closing the economy down? Simply because if the country did not, there would not remotely be enough hospital beds, tools and related people and to even remotely take care of the all patients and I am not speaking old seniors either.

Cute. Nobody makes it out alive. Jim Morrison was so wise... yeah. Are you in a hurry? Partially true on "controlled exposure". Same rhetoric as "if you drive every day, you will eventually die in an auto accident". No. Use common sense, and increase your odds. Spanish influenza and the 1918 pandemic didn't kill everyone that was susceptible, and there were many more "at risk" people then. Are we no more advanced now than then? Medically and technically we are miles ahead of where we were then. The problem is with self-centered people, and with the entitled mentality that has taken over our society. Common sense is what has died out over the generations since, and is why people need to be told what is proper in these times- it's not a chance for the powers that be to rescind our civil liberties, but a need to spell it out for the masses who in time will revert to their "me" mentality.
I've lost a former co-worker, not an "at risk" person either. Mid thirties, wife and two kids. Tell them that it's more important that you are allowed to go to the bar. My daughter is a Nurse Practitioner, dealing with the worst cases on a daily basis. She would love the opportunity to self isolate, but she has the sense to realize that this can't be beaten by denying that there is a problem. I pray for her daily and for all the people who are endangered by the selfishness of others. Suck it up until we get a handle on this.

About people saying the masks and distancing is no guarantee people won't get infected, so why bother?
I say going to the mailbox over a gravel driveway in just my socks is better than going barefoot.

Yep, herd immunity.

Seems we are underutilizing our current medical capacity and just prolonging the process. The USS Comfort went to NYC and was hardly used at all with the exception of being accidentally sent Covid positive patients.

Out of 100 people who get it, how many of them die of it??? 4 or 5?? Some it it with very little symptoms and recover quickly. Some are genetically weaker and have more difficulty with it. Some people succumb the illness.

With the additional testing showing that a lot more people have been infected, but not known or had mild symptoms, the studies in CA and NY are equating to about a 1 in a 1000 death rate. 0.1% or so and about on par with the flu death rate. A LOT less than initially projected.

I'm glad others besides me feel the same and are taking it seriously I see all this dumbasses on Facebook talking about how it's fake and a government conspiracy that makes no damn sense why would the government crash it's own economy what do they have to gain from it? Its just ridiculous. I read someone say it was overblown and it wasn't that dangerous and there is a 98 percent recovery rate. So I gave them the facts. Right now there is 985k confirmed cases with 55,383 deaths and 109k reported recoveries. If you do the math that's 821k people still fighting it. I'm not math wiz but that's 98 percent. The first us death was on feb 29 today is April 26th so in less than 2 months 55k people have died! That's alot in a two month span. That is 5 times the amount of people killed in drunk driving accidents in an entire year.

I believe we all have been exposed to the virus, some just thought it was the flu.
It hit this country in January right about the same time as the flu.

Agreed, 100% dumasses!

But people gotta have their tattoos and massages.

Of all the business to open up lmao.

In my opinion death rate plays a huge part in this (obviously) but it's the hospitalization rate. I would say most deaths occur in the hospital or nursing homes. So if you overload the hospital and last line of defence, you put a burden on the system that doesnt have the properly designed infrastructure.

My company has us working outside only, keeping tailgate meetings outside and 6 feet a apart. AT&T is giving hazardous duty bonus pay of 20%, We're not getting ****. We can stay at home if we want but wont collect a full paycheck for obvious reasons and for some that is not option financially. With the order to stay at home and so many people following it, we got loads of work as people are using home phones again to keep their data and minutes under their cell contracts. I'm fortunate as I still have a job and and am still pulling my normal rate, can't say that for others who are forced to go on unemployment because the Governor shut their business down. Herd immunity is the only way out, USA can't wait for a vaccine that is 18 months away. I'm praying the rate of hospitalization will drop drastically as the virus reaches a saturation point. Those who are at risk should take precautions. Those who are tested and are found to be free or have the antibodies already should be allowed to go back to work if they choose. Saturday at the beach here in So Cal were just like any other summer saturday as some OC beaches were opened back up with social distancing being observed. I'm glad to see a little light at the end of this tunnel.

Look out T. P. here comes the next shortage! Meat!!

After all this Corona stuff is behind us I wonder it will do to the prices of some items like TP, meat, dust masks, etc. !? II know, HF will still have cheap dust masks! Screw the Chineese-iums. lol

The virus was here in December most likely, and there are people that had the symptoms in December or January. We are still in the early days but medical professionals are finding that a lot of people had the virus earlier than we knew about. The problem is that there are 3 different strains of this virus some being far worse than others. Self Isolation is still the safest way forward until the virus begins to die off. It will likely return in the fall, but hopefully we will have a way to treat it by then. Stay Safe Folks. Mike
