Where the guitar players? ...at?

I've been playing (sort of) since 1964. Had a garage band starting in late '64.

My first guitar was a Kay archtop... traded that in for a new '64 Fender Duo-Sonic. Kept that and bought a '64 Gretsch Country Gentleman. Then a fretless J-bass. Then I bought a huge red sparkle Slingerland drum set for our drummer...he was a dirt poor Mexican who's family could not afford to buy him a set.

All that ended when we went to practice at the drummers house... they lived in the back of an old retail store. We had the store front for rehersals. They got evicted and took all of our band equipment with them... my stuff plus an SG, a Jassmaster, '63 white Tolex bassman (mine), a twin 24" Fender custom bottom with a Bandmaster top (also mine), our lighting system (X-mas tree spotlights!), the sax players stuff, a Fender electric piano and more. I had my Duo-Sonic at home...

That ended my playing days for 10 years or so. Goofed off with guitars until mid-90's when I started a couple new groups. Played country and oldies plus vintage rock.

I collected Memphis-made St. Blues guitars for 15 years. Had 10 in my collection. Sold most off on ebay to overseas buyers when I needed cash. Had a Mary Kay '57 Strat from the Custom Shop. A '73 triple sunburst Tele. A nice MIM Tele I painted '73 Ford baby blue. A bunch of others.

Now I have an Indonesian Strat and a Chicom Epiphone LP Jr. I bought for $54.00 at a pawn shop.
