I got the correct spring today, borrowed the welder, and decided to get a hole saw to cut the spot for the shifter. The hole saw just overheats the drill so I can only do a little at a time. It's about 1/3 - 1/2 cut through the sheet metal right now.
@70aarcuda came by and we got everything internally buttoned up. Air tested the clutch packs and they functioned properly. I'm going to install the VB here in a bit and we will put the converter and pan on tomorrow. Then I'll install the trans and let her rip!
