Son's 1973 Scamp project

Since my car is down to just fiddling with fun stuff, there's been some things that I knew needed attention on his car. Like, a rear main seal leak, and several rust issues. You know how it goes when you start digging. But since he's jobless and home schooling we decided to dig. When we got the car, it was a "get it running and drving" deal, because he really wanted to drive it his senior year in highschool. We already replaced the rusty trunk gutters. Among many other mechanical and electrical issues. Time to get it a little more "right". Other things I knew:
A little crust around the left A pillar near the widow seal.
Bad patch job on the front floor pan's.
Rust through on the lower fender mounts.
The aforementioned rear main leak.
Leaking heater core.
So he dug in today. Here's what he found.

Left A pillar rust. The rest is fine. Right is good.

Below pic is in between the dash (that's the pad on the far right of pic) and A pillar. Will be a little tricky working in there.

Floor pan. Fronts pop riveted in. Should be able to remove them, cut to size and weld in. The actual holes are much smaller than the patches.

Rest of floor pan looks good at first inspection.

Well, well. Only part of one we have found.

Lots of things to fix. Should be fun! He's looking forward to honing his metal working/welding skills.
