Dart Swinger. Lighter and cheaper. Basically, an A-body version of the Road Runner!

Actually...for the price of a 340 GTS, how much would it cost to step up to a 383 Road Runner?

Muscle car presense?
I would give it to the 340 swinger.
Best muscle car?
My nod would go to the GTS.
Big block a bodies are just badass, but the ''bang for the buck'' and lightweight package that the Swinger 340 represented was all business.
The Swinger 340 was a put your money where your mouth was type of car, and the GTS was more of a good refined muscle car with frills.
That's why i voted for the Swinger 340, it answers your question by a narrow margin, Rani.

Going with the Swinger - not just because there's one in my garage, but for Muscle Car Presence, it's gotta be the more raw looking car - the one that is all about GO, less show. GTS, love to have one with all the options and such, but a bit too finished and pretty for me to say it has more muscle car presence than the scrappy Swinger, baby!

Old thread coming back to life.
I choose GTS for only one reason. The tail panel. Looks like something's missing without it.
Threw in a GTS grille pic for fun.

I guess I’m partial to my 69’ Swinger 340. I thought it was odd my car came with the fender indicator bullets and the 340 kick outs in the hood as well. I figured those were GTS options.

Both are cool, for their own reasons.

I happen to have a ‘69 GTS that was originally a 340 car but now has a 360 Magnum Mopar Performance crate engine putting out more HP than the original big block version did.

Does it make it better than a 340 Swinger? Nope...just different.

If it’s Mopar, it’s all good.
