Found NOS 440 Block In The Factory Wood Crate
Still has the metal bands on it, part number and all tags still in shipping label
Only casting part number and casting date. Coated very heavy with cosmoline. I put a little more white grease on, just extra protection.
Perfect for 69 or even a 70 car.

I don't think I have the heart to build a 50 year old virgin block. What a score !!

Save that crate! Put a junk block back in it, a glass top on it, and you have an instant bar for the man cave! Maybe even backlight the block...

There was an original six pack 440 or something like that in the crate floating around Craigslist here a while back locally and the guy wanted an arm and a leg.. and some...

To me it is worth two arms, a leg and one ear.
I couldn't/ wouldn't sell it or build it.
I would just stare at it.lol

I would take a picture of it, and stare at the picture. In the meantime, I'd install it in my truck and go racing :D

I bet you would. lol and it would be your first big block that through a rod. karma.

To one of the 6 figure B or E body guys you might be able to sell it for enough to buy a nice A body.

Now that's badass right there, I don't care who you are.

Punch it .030 put in a 4.375 crank and you got 520 cu.in. yee haw

How did you find it?
A friend had it, that I did not know he did. Met him a few years ago of coarse over mopar parts. The funny thing he only lives 20 minutes from he. We know all the same people over last 30 plus years and never met (maybe we did but do not remember). We were talking mopar of coarse then my m code Cuda came up, he said I have the perfect motor for that car. It was not cheap but could not turn it down. Plus it’s so cool,
I had to have it.
