Im sure this subject has been beaten to death but does anyone have any info to share about conversion
Thanks Chris !!!

Inner mounting holes need to be moved which is pretty straight forward. I saw a picture of an AirGap manifold that had been converted but can't find it. Being able to weld aluminum would be a helpful skill. There are intakes available new and in the secondary market so unless it was a specific one that was never made, it isn't cost effective to pay someone to do it. On your own time, I'd say grab a W2 gasket and got to town. I was moving down that path when I had my eye on some w2 heads but it never came to fruition.

Thank you Sir
I appreciate the info etc.
Im trying to achieve a vintage look without air gap style intake
Like Super Victor etc
If this can be done period I will make it happen and my friend is a welder with a major airline so thats a done deal .

Yes it can be done. I had one years ago on my race car. I bought it with the heads already done so I have no idea who did the work.

Edelbrock made a handful of LD340's for W2's back in the day, but I haven't seen one for sale in years. I saw one for sale for $50 at a swap meet back in the 80's, and walked on by because I never thought I'd want W2's! :BangHead:

I want to run a vintage single plane
Or tunnel ram.

Holley made a Street Dominator for the W2. Part no 300-21. It's not as tall as the Strip Dominator and is water heated and has bosses for the AC brackets that are not drilled and tapped. It also is not the air-gap style manifold. They pop up once in awhile, just have to watch.
