Kidding. Kind of. I do come from the world of cheap Chinese reproduction parts and irresponsible burn outs into an innocent crowd of onlookers. But I now officially have as many mopars as fords. Finally picked up an A body, this one was originally a street/strip project. I’m going to be taming her a little more for the street.

I’ve been lurking here for sometime. I’m also on the B body forums. But I’ve always found the culture here to be rather informative and supportive, largely. Looking forward to learning a ton. Here’s some pics of my junk (safe for work). Look away if you can’t stand the sight of mustangs.

thanks! It’s got a 440 under the hood built by Cotton racing here in DFW. 727 full manual but it’s got a 3400 stall converter. Ford 8.8 rear end (no I’m not swapping this out ) with what looks to be a custom coil over suspension. I’m still figuring that out.

The interior is stripped, it’s got crude subframe connectors and a roll bar. And extremely boogered together minitubs in the rear.

The plan is to clean up the sheet metal on the interior. Install an interior. Swap out the stall converter. Sniper EFI. Borgeson power steering. And maybe take her on the power tour this year.

Getting pretty common anymore for people to swap a 8.8 into their A-body. Sounds like a runner... :)

yah I’m not sure it’s poorly done. But I’ve been looking at the QA1 stuff and they call for a mopar 8 3/4 so I’m actually open to going back to a mopar rear end. But yah she goes! The PO said it was a 7 second car in the 1/8th mile?

Well I ain't kiddin. I love me some Fords. Welcome to the site.

I would think 7 second 1/8 mile would be fairly easy with the drive train. I wouldn't pull the 8.8 unless you wanted to, but there would be no need.

Nice collection of toys! Welcome to the site, I too have an affinity for the blue oval brand, have owned probably 60 or more Fords, including numerous fox bodies as well as a 2013 Mustang GT convert that I sold a while ago. I have owned everything from AMC to Yamaha, but my current daily driver is a '90 Bronco.

Nice collection....I am in Dallas also

Thanks! What part of town are you in? Not sure what’s going on with all this COVID stuff but I wish we had a stronger car scene out here. There doesn’t seem to be much going on around here usually.

Fair enough. I’ll have to find a Powered by Ford sticker for the rear windshield then...

Thanks! Sounds like you’ve got quite the collection yourself.

Not much of a collection these days, my '75 Dart Sport under construction, the Bronco, a '76 Pontiac Ventura that I bought in 2011 from the original owner with 27k miles, all original, never had any rust, 1 repaint about 5 years ago, now has 38k miles, and wife's daily driver is a 2002 Ford Taurus.

The Dallas car scene is pretty good, hook up the the Dallas area Mopar clubs, I think there are 2 of them. Hopefully this covid stuff will be under control for the Garland Mopar car show & swap meet later this year. I usually make it & Pate but Pate has been moved to October & I haven't seen anything about Garland yet.

Really liking the vibe of that Charger.

thanks. I actually bought from big Chris at Collins Bro’s Jeep here in town. Richard Rawlings crew here in DFW for those who don’t know. I actually spotted it on an episode of fast n loud from before I bought it. It was extremely solid for a Massachusetts car. Floors and frame rails were intact. Just some rot in the quarters, trunk floor and rear valence. I then shipped it to Chris Birdsong (the guy with the YouTube channel) in Vegas initially as a trade for another solid running car. But he ended up building the motor, swapping in a 4 speed, going through the whole car mechanically and sending it back. So what I’ve ended with is the worlds most expensive junky charger.

Used to watch Fast N Loud regularly, but after Aaron left it's just not the same, still do some great cars though. Seen some of Collins ads on Youtube, lots of cool stuff.

Agreed. But I’d rather be watching car stuff than what’s on the news these days

they’re a little over priced. But man they seem to find all the good cars. All the other ratty chargers were just too far gone for what people ask for them.

I’ve been to the large Garland show but I thought it was a general show. Still haven’t done Pate yet, will try my best this year if it’s still on. Do you have a link to the Dallas mopar Facebook or something?

I don't do Facebook or any of the social media aps. The Garland show is known as the Mopar Mini-Nationals & put on by The Dallas Mopar Club. It's usually held at Central Park in Garland but the park is being reworked, so last year it was held at at church in Garland. The other club is Mopars of North Texas. I've had dealings with them over the years & all of them are great people.

We welcome all people. I like most Mustangs, 63-67 Corvettes, AMXs, and several others.
Welcome.

PS, it looks like that Charger is missing its hubcaps. I'll tell you what I'm Going to do. I'll come down to Dallas with a trailer and bring it back to Topeka and put a brand new pair of hubcaps on it. Then I will test drive it to make sure they don't fall off. How does that sound?????

Dallas Mopar Club and the Cowtown Mopar Club both have Facebook pages... the mini nats have moved to a church in Rockwall, the show was there last year and will be there again this year, usually Labor Day weekend. I am in NW Dallas just south of Farmer’s Branch.

Welcome!! from SE Tx (Pineyass woods). You have some really cool rides! I also love some Fords, but I have stayed away, mainly due to the fact I have no Ford wrenches and expensive.
