Hey guys I dropped a 440 in my 67 barracuda , I’m using a DC kframe and running a cBody oil pan . Are all big block dipsticks the same? Or should I look for a particular one? thanks in advance ..

Not sure how the 67 Barracuda engine bay compares to a 71 Swinger but I was able to use the standard block hole dipstick before. But once I had a girdle installed the blade didn’t want to go through unless it was the perfect angle. So I bought a milodon flexible dip stick. Food for thought.

In a BB "A" body the issue is concerning where the upper bracket attaches. Original installs had special blocks that moved the motor mount forward, hence the need for a little different dipstick since the bracket attaches to a motor mount bolt. If this is not an original block and motor mounts, then one would need to search for the right one. It could be simple- maybe a standard one off a "C" body would work.

Do you have headers or factory manifolds? I used the B-body tube. I am running HP Manifolds and using Schumacher mounts.

Just put the correct amount of oil in for your setup + filter and remark it. 5 quarts was the measure with C-body pan after run in. The rest does not matter, JMO.
