A Ford guy here...

We are all guilty of "cheating" one time or another. Unless you are a true Mohead, all brands are liked. Lots of info on the board so dig away. Mild to wild, it don't matter.

Here is my new mistress.....

Welcome aboard nice to have you! That's a nice collection of cars you have. I love the mustang. And the charger challenger and duster of course.
If I had to pick a second favorite besides mopars it would be classic fords. I love 60s fairlanes, galaxy's, comets, mustang's etc. And as bad as I hate to admit it on here my current everyday driver is a ford lol it's a 04 mercury mountaineer. My dodge ram is getting renovated lol

Welcome!! from SE Tx (Pineyass woods). You have some really cool rides! I also love some Fords, but I have stayed away, mainly due to the fact I have no Ford wrenches and expensive.

Hahaha man my Fords are much cheaper to work on. These mopars are bleeding me dry. That damn Hellcat included. They wouldn’t swap out my battery unless I brought the whole car to them. I had to tow the car with the dead battery there for them to warranty it ‍♂️

Dallas Mopar Club and the Cowtown Mopar Club both have Facebook pages... the mini nats have moved to a church in Rockwall, the show was there last year and will be there again this year, usually Labor Day weekend. I am in NW Dallas just south of Farmer’s Branch.

you’re not too far from me! I’m just down the tollway off mockingbird next to Love Field. Do you ever go by the weekly meets at Keller’s on northwest hey?

Thanks! Love the attitude of the members here. Seems a little more receptive than some of the other forums.

Here's a pic of a Ford that I had in the 80s. 1966 Galaxie 500, had a stout 351 Cleveland in it that my brother built. Never had it on the track but never lost on the street.

^^^ Back in 1966 in HS I had a 64 Ford Custm 2 door with 289 and 3 on tree. A clasmate bought a brand new 66 lke your above even same color. Beautiful car!!

Jay Leno has a '66 7 Litre Galaxie that recreates one that his father bought new, and he subsequently totaled when he was 16 or 17, same color too, but his boasts a Roush Racing built 514 big block, fuel injection, and a 6 speed stick. I would love to see that car up close.
My old Galaxie was born with a 289 automatic, the 351 that my brother built was around 11.4 to 1 compression, balanced, blueprinted, etc. would easily rev to 7000 rpm. It was estimated to make around 420 hp, which in the late '70s when he built it was pretty serious. Unfortunately the quality of fuel dropped to the point where it would barely run without octane boost, so I ended up de-tuning it to make it driveable, as it was my daily driver in those days, at least in the summer. It was still pretty stout, but had far less cam and cylinder pressure.
