Dual quads versus big hammer!!!...

So I did my usual and changed three things at once.. LOL...
While I had the carbs off I changed the secondary jets from the stock 80's to 78's.. and backed off the air doors a half turn.. leaving only one full turn tension on the doors...
My thinking was smaller Jets more air...
Now the secondaries won't read so rich on the AF gauge I'm thinking...
Also after I drove it for a little while and warmed it up it was still showing rich on idol about 12.4.... so I turn the idle screws and a half turn on the front carburetor and that seemed to bring it to the 13.4 that I like...
On the primary side it was driving fine and showing better numbers on part throttle and cruise but when I come to a stop it would go extremely lean and idle down very far, acting as if it wanted to die but never did..
On the secondaries when I gave it full trottle it seemed to be too lean like 13 something 14 something...
Pulled the car into a parking lot and adjusted a half turn out on the carburetor where it was and a half turn tighter on the air doors where they were...
The idle went back to 12 something and smoother and acting normal when I came to a stop... And the secondaries win pretty darn rich according to the AF gauge again..
So my conclusion is I'm within a half turn on the secondary air doors and within a half turn on the front carburetor...
