Well... It is sucks!!

After searching for a back glass for my 66 Dart I finally got one in very good condition from one of our members here. At the end of February finally had some time to install the glass. It went in without a problem. Used plenty of dawn soapy water on the glass and seal and tapped the glass gently many, many times as suggested. I did look great and I was very happy. Well, next day the glass was still in the car but completely shattered. Really don't know what happened because installation was done correctly and suggested here in the forum by many experts. Now the search continues for another back glass. The final piece for my Dart.View attachment 1715520797
look for a butterfly part of the window. that will tell you where th e stress point was , fix that before you install another window. I worked at the chrysler glass pant for 30 years and had to break a whole lot of tempered and laminated glass for safety checks.

I'd look here in this area. for a kinked or jagged piece of metal or something in the gasket itself.
