Just barely touches when closing. It's got one wrap of duct tape on it there.
It did not rub the paint but it did touch and I was always a little worried about that when closing the hood.
I don't think I've mounted it since the car got repainted - maybe once.
Once the pressure issues were solved (new line from tank, Holley 'keith dorton' mechnical pump) at the track, didn't really need it on the car.
Then a few years ago had some vapor lock issues in the spring and early summer. I might have figured that out sooner if the gage was mounted. Live and learn.
