I'm looking for suggestions on a front disk brake conversion kit for a 1973 Plymouth Duster 340. I'm not what kit to get and which ones I should avoid. Thank you in advance for you help!

Does your Duster have drums stock or is it missing brakes all together? Also, what are you looking for in brakes? Street, drag, autocross, etc

Has drum brakes now. Street driving mainly but I am going to drag it.

Oh okay. that would have small drums.
I'd use Wilwoods conversion that fit the 10"-11" drum spindles. You would need to change your spindles.
MBM also has the 73-up A/E factory setup with spindles.

My Duster is a street car too but set up to go to the drags if I want to. I went with a Viper brake conversion from Doctor Diff so I'd have enough brake to haul it down after a pass.

I converted over from 10" drums on my '70 duster to Wilwoods pretty straight forward no need to change the spindles or upper control arms, much much better stopping power some of the best money I've spent:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Now that there are options for drum spindles the Wilwood or Brembo/Viper option is on the table depending on what tie size you want to run. I run the Dr Diff 13" PBR kit, but that required a disc spindle. Cass is great.

As I understand 73-up Drum/Drum cars are still 5x4" bolt pattern? If so you'll need to address the rear and start to consider wheel offset and if you're going to run staggered wheels/tires or want the same size to rotate.
