I came home from work today, and she wasnt there coming up to me to greet me like she always did every day. I used to pick her up and love on her a bit, and scratch her ears. It just hurt real deep. I hope that's gonna fade a bit with time.
Yep, it sucks. And things come up for a while that hit you like a brick.... Time heals, hopefully. I say that because once you realize how much a 4 legged friend can bring to your life the sooner you will go get a new friend. That's not replacing Sadie in your life, but living your life in a different way.....
I hit rock bottom when my last one passed and was lost in space. Then I woke up on a Sunday morning maybe a month later and realized it wasn't fair to me or another dog needing a home to not have that companionship in my life. And that evening I had a new friend in the car. Too soon? Opinions vary but I am glad to have not waited a minute later. Just food for though....
