and while my tests were NOT accompanied with time-slips, the stop-watch doesn't lie.
On the street, in a well-packaged streeter, power at 5500 is NOT the be-all/end all.
The bottom end can easily be pumped up with gearing.
But the midrange is where it's at. With a 360, it is easy to make plenty of midrange. Easy even to make more than the chassis can handle.

I agree but if you listen to most people they will tell you that a chrysler 360 engine is "underheaded" to begin with and putting a set of 318 heads on will kill the power even more. Not my experience at all.

Around 1.0-1.1 point more in static CR and DCR.

half a second on compression only? No wonder my 9/1-Dcr 367 was a beast, with a HE2430AL cam,lol.
