Ok, this is the welding I’m most proud of on my ‘65 Dart Go-Go, aka “The Ferrous Oxide Express.” It’s a section of the rear subframe I replaced. Had I known it was this bad before I replaced the floor pans I would have replaced the whole thing. I’m still learning on sheet metal. The finished product looks the same on both sides and is square to everything because I made jig pieces to hold everything in alignment before cutting it apart and used a factory dimension chart to make sure all was correct. Afterwards I discovered that the distance between the passenger side spring perches was 3/16” short from the factory.
