Heat crossover

I still have not discounted my .002 copper, after a bbq tonight I did some testing on the material, after a few hours in the coals it was holding up well, jabbed at it with iron bar and never broke through, it was showing 600c + in the coal and half that on top of the material, i have left it there and will see what it look like in the morning. As for stainless steel shim i tryed to get some today but no one had any only steel and brass.
Thats a heat bead on top.

You can cut up a SS electrical blank switch plate, readily available at HomeDepot or a hardware store.

Use a steel shim, if that’s only what you have access to.

Post up more pics of the blower set up and manifold.
Are the intake runners divided or are they open?

Probably cheaper than the sheet of steel I bought. sweet!

Yeah narr( thats a word her in oz) I'm going to go through with my idea, bit hard headed maybe, stupid, ignorant, can't take advice don't play well with others ect ect . I've seen no real evidence it will burn through.
I will most definitely keep you all up to date on my findings , not afraid of failure thats how we all learn.
Dodgy

The copper is still intact, no holes or burn through, it's still pliable, you can fold a sharp edge and then reopen it without it forming a crack, not brittle nor thin.

The shim is not only subjected to high temps but also to the exhaust pressure pulses. .002” copper will not withstand the pulses. I use .015-.020” S/S shim stock.

It'll be fine, with the solid gasket in between and a copper piece earthier side free flowing exhaust, the pulses you describe will pull the other way with the flow of exhaust.

Think of a water pipe hose with T in it, water in 1 port, water out two ports, how much force does it take to block one out port.
