Hey all, Ive got 2 different demon fender emblems and I’m trying to determine which one is the correct style so I can repaint the other to match. Thanks!

Looks to me like you have an original and a reproduction emblem. The red on the top emblem is too orange IMO, but the paint on the lower one is faded. Maybe someone had a code for the original paint, but I would just paint them to match and not worry about it. I have a bunch of original Demon emblems and the paint on all of them is a little different because of the way they’ve aged.

Searched and found pic of this original set, which would lead me to believe your top emblem would be it, but don’t know for sure.

Yup, looks like I should have checked before I said anything. I have a bunch of original emblems, you can see that the casting has the "M" filled in as well as the "E". All the colors are slightly different but again that's probably more a function of how faded/aged the paint is than anything else. Well, except for the one somebody painted black.

Good catch, spotting the casting on the "M" and "E". That's a great tip that other members can use to verify an original emblem.

OK so you lost me... what do you mean about the M and the E?

I don't know that I'd go that far. If you look at new reproductions of the Demon emblems they have the casting filled in like the originals do. On the reproductions it looks more like the in between spaces are shiny though, where the originals have more of a cast finish between the letters. I don't have a reproduction one though so it may just be how the pictures look.

If you look at the bottom emblem in the picture posted by markzilla88 it looks like the spaces between the legs in the “M” and the “E” are not completely filled in. If you look at the top emblem he posted, as well as all the emblems I posted, you can see that all the spaces in the “M” and the “E” are completely filled in. This is even more clear from the backside, which is why I included a picture of the back of my emblems.

It may be a reflection trick in that original picture posted by markzilla88 though, it's hard to tell without a picture of the back of the emblem.
