maximum tank level without sending unit

I just changed mine and 3/4 would be way to much ,drain has much as possible ,then when you lift the car ,have the front end a bit higher then the rear.if you didn't buy an nos sending unit be sure to use the original lock nut .the Chinese junk dosent lock to well.hope this helps
