I have an old *** set of Oxy Acetylene for cutting/ welding. Need replaced......
Need some small tips for sheet metal.
I used to think MIG was better for sheet metal. Now I think its only better in some situations.

If i could learn to tig weld, i would be set.
Watched a video of a guy welding panels onto a ford truck with stick welder.
Used to gas weld, that was the go to 30 years ago.
My new mig still needs some figuring out.

it's funny. My dad a lot of TIG welding at the shop including batches of thin sheet aluminum boxes for Hudson Tool & Die. .020" or so.
But that was always corner seams that I recall, and the boxes were small, 2 to4" a side. He never liked to use it for any large sheets like on cars or trucks. Always said it was 'too hot', put too much heat into the sheet metal.

The HP books autobody book only shows O-A welding. Kindof surprised me. Maybe older guys and restoration specialists. MIG is probably the only way to go with collision work.
You guys seen some of Tommasini's videos?
Very cool butt welding technique

Evening all.

wife made me spend the day cleaning out our old storage shed and moving stuff to the new one. She has long sworn that the shed was full of my stuff... well today, I took every single thing and organized it with new, stackable totes, all the same size. 31 boxes, 14 of them are baby clothes and toys, 7 are home decorations and pictures. 2 boxes of antique quits from her grandmother, 5 boxes full of misc junk of hers from before we got married... 3 boxes are mine. 2 of which is Army issued gear.... yeah...

It sounds good, but my experience is any tool that tries to do too many things doesn’t do anything as well as one made for the individual task.

Jack of all trades, master of none...

Did find pics of my first ever drill. Talk about a LONG time ago.

If she didn’t think it was her stuff, you missed the opportunity to get rid of it...

Yeah... trust me, it’s not that she didn’t know, she just doesn’t want to admit it

No shims, no nut and 30 bucks more and chinee bearings. Think i got effed.
I figured he was going to sub it,but a royal screwing over is what i got.
Cant assemble the diff,so im slanming it all together, kicking it out and waiting for him to make it right. 25 grand a year in parts and i get this ****...
I may be setting up with napa in the next few weeks...

Well this is going to get interesting. PA governor said when counties get below a certain number of cases, they would have some restrictions lifted. Latest changes did not stick to what he said. Our county and a bunch of others are below the # and still in the 'red' zone. A bunch are ready to go ahead and open anyway. Some law offices including our county DA say they won't enforce closures any more...

I’m ok with businesses reopening as it seems most that have in spite of the Government mandate have implemented addition safety precautions...and that is what this was all about anyway. Raising awareness of how to conduct business safely.

It worked. People have changed their approach and are thinking more carefully about what they do now. Trying to remain viable as businesses while keeping themselves and their customers as safe as they can.

6 weeks ago, they wouldn’t have without this forced upon them.

I did one more fictitious vintage ship travel poster today before heading off in a new direction...

Hey Dave and Keith: Look what we finally did today -

Breaking in the Lunati bare-bones cam at about 2500 RPM, then after we got the timing and the carb set up.

Note the requisite vise grips.
How you guys doin'? Sharon says to tell you both Hi and to drop in when the gummint allows.

Cool! Nice to hear it running!

Sounds good too!

Evening Everyone. Took the Demon out for a cruise today. Another 80ish miles on it. Still loving this combo.

Cool, my plan is to take my GTS out of Winter wrapping next weekend if the weather cooperates.

It’s been too long since I drove it up to see Keith last Fall.
