I have this old Direct connection Performance book that my Dad just let me have. How common are these?

Don't see that edition too often. That's one of the first put into bound book format.
Most of them were so well used by us in the early years that we wore them out. No websites, no internet, no texting, just the Bible and the Mopar performance books. I still pull mine out today 40 plus years later

My dad bought this back in the 80's, used if for a while for different specs, has a few pages falling out and he taped the spine, but overall in great shape given its age.
Dave, that's the same one I have, it's an excellent source of information.

When I bought it I dated it, "August 1977".
Just thumbed through it. Lol, none of the pages fell out! The latest revised section I found in it is the 426 Hemi. Revised February 1977.
It doesn't have a date printed on the cover like brian6pac's

Mine dated "April 1976". I bought it here after someone made off with one I had owned for about 20 years.
There are reprints available, as well as digital versions. I bought a reprint about a year ago? I had sections of it before, mostly suspension related.

Yellow '79 version here too. Bought it from Herb McCandless in '79. Still in near mint condition too.

If I would have studied in highschool like I did that book, I might have been something. Course I had no money to do most of it. Lol My brother bought it to help build his 383 Duster in about 79-80. It was yellow.
Post a want ad. They pop up every now and then. I got one with old notes!

I bought two powerglide rebuild books two years ago and now do all my transmissions. If my friend didn’t rebuild my sons 727 so cheap I would buy a book for those too. You can teach an old dog new tricks if the dog is willing to learn.

I have the yellow 1979 book and the one in the OP. That 79 book was used so much I had a friend turn it into a 3 ring binder deal so I didn’t loose any pages.
The later book I have used a bit too.

That particular edition is long out of print. The last version is also long out of print. A huge shame IMO.
