75 Dart Swinger

Since I was putting the big block in I wanted to do the DC K frame conversion! (I didn't really want to but since Schumacher isn't making mounts I've got to take matters into my own hands! Lol here are some things I found along the way! I'm no expert but I think that's supposed to be inside the LCA a little more! :lol:

and this sleeve shouldn't be removable! It had been that way for a while but the looks of how whollered out the hole is!
Here's a prime example of someone before me who didn't have a Cotter pin but needed to pick up the kids in half an hour! :lol:
I put the k frame upside down on the table and put some nuts under all the mounting points to clear the table and
because I thought that would give me the best frame of reference to be able to pull measurements of the other pivot that wasn't broken!
surprisingly I was able to fill the gap that had been made from the pivot rubbing really well! I felt confident it was a strong weld with good penetration!


and while I was here I decided to take some big washers and reinforce the pivots as well! It worked better than I expected and turned out good for my welding experience or lack of!
I think I'm all caught up now! I've still got to move the motor mounts so that will happen in the next little while!
