I’m finally doing it. Got everything stripped off the dart and putting up the home paint booth. I still have to insert the filters and get things sealed up but it’s coming along.

You will probably like the effect of the plastic. The static draws all the dust away! Make sure everything is dry before you remove it. It will be loaded.

Its a great show, you should check it out. You did a great job re-creating Dexters kill room.

I do the same thing but i also wet the floor right when i start to paint it keeps dust down and overspray settles

Where did you get the plastics sheeting from I gotta make one of them

Finally got everything finished and laid down the first coats of paint on some of the 65 Dart parts. Never painted a car this way ever in my life. It was a bit nerve-racking but a lot of fun also.

What are those scoops? Look similar but not exactly like OEM.
Not sure what they’re off of. I bought them from a guy who had them on a 65 dart hood. He said they were on that car when he got them. They seem to fit on the hood perfect. They are square on the backend and instead of having a chrome trim piece on the front it looks like they were molded with that front edge piece there. They do have the pentagram insignia molded into them as well as a part number.

When you can post the part# ? Cant wait to see them mounted.

I learned a lot from this first experience. I have quite a bit of orange peel on the hood scoops. After researching a bit I realize I put way too much paint on. Some of the edges where I could barely reach are actually perfect. the main flat areas are orange peeled because of the amount of paint I put down. Now I’ll learn how to sand!!
