I don't know how the SB heads flow... I just meant that the improvement from a bowl blend/port match would probably be similar.

Unless you run one of those square-lobed "cheater"-type cams which beat the crap out of the valvetrain, a cam with lift over .550 would definitely be useful because it holds the valve open longer (e.g. at least .550) while decelerating to go over the nose and start closing.
