I am good with public safety but it's gotten out of hand..... From people wearing a mask riding their Bikes to wearing them while driving (status.....)

Government getting to infringe on your life when so much of it is now for nada IMO. Sure there are health concerns with all this but so is driving down the Highway beside a Tractor trailer. If your sick, stay home. Yeah I could get on a soapbox about it.... Let business get back to business and furthermore for you lazy asses that are enjoying your Trump check instead of going back to work, pack sand!

Glad to see the track opening. They work hard and so do most racers I know and life is short so let's get to racing....

The collective WE voted our "representatives" into office and for better or worse this is what we have. Unless YOU can unite 50% of the voters to remove the socialist and fascists we are stuck with what we have, and "sticking it to the man" "you can't tell me what to do" only gives fuel to the media to encourage the ignorant to make more laws and rules.

I keep voting for people i think will make fewer laws and regulation, and unfortunately there are many more who vote the other way. For all of you in states that have vehicle inspections, have you been successful in getting those stupid laws removed... Didn't think so.

This is where I stand. I have a doctors excuse (not required to wear mask) and have since my heart attack in 1999 when I lost 1/4 of my heart. I also have sleep apnea. If I go to Walmart I throw my Harbor Freight mask on, same with my local community market because the require it. I just went into my United States Post Office with my mask on and the girl didn’t have one on so I took mine off. Take out food from my local bar doesn’t require it either so I didn’t wear it to pick up my food. If my race track requires masks I love racing enough that I will wear one all day if required. I would be ordering several of the thinner ones I see advertised. What really pisses me off is the local Pittsburgh area news. If they are outside standing with no one 1 freaking mile from them they have a mask on. What a bunch of crap!!!!!
 
I’m all about safety, I have and still work at least for now on the very dangerous oil industry. We know what we work in and we take the necessary precautions, PPE and steps. Accidents happen, but we still work in it. Some of this mess is crazy politics and listening to scientist who are known to have made recent wrong conclusions like Dr Farci.

If school is canceled for next fall like he says should or will happen, then a lot of parents will not be going to work because their kids are home.

that one statement he made will go far in destroying the economy and lives far beyond we can imagine

It's political. Guess what.... The same ones who voted the guy in will do so again to once again go against the system.

It is a true deadly virus. I get it. But when you go to a Lowe's or Home depot and it wall to wall filled with people where is the sanity in that.... I hope more tracks and business push the envelope and get their biz operating again.....

If you have never owned a business it is truly hard to understand when someone says it their baby. To watch it widdle away would be extremely stressful.....

I hope we can get this post refocused on tracks opening. Ohio formed a group of track owners banning together to present a proposal to get us. Racing without spectators for now. That would be a step in the right direction.
 
If anyone was listening, Trump was asked if he was concerned about the money being thrown about for the Covid. He said. What choice do we have!

what is happening is that this money is an attempt to tap the brakes on our banking system.

We can’t afford to be shut down long or we will have another crash and depression! They have no choice but to thow enough printed money and try to slow the train down before it crashes

Man you're easy. lol I see know reason for no spectators, distancing shouldn't be a problem.
It's not like the tracks are packed with fans at weekly events.
But you may need a bottle to pee in and a box to poo in, pack it in pack it out.
I think the rest rooms would be a place that could be a problem to keep sanitized.

unless it's a special event, we have next to no spectators. Bleachers that would seat 10k have about 8 people in them. Our track has enough acreage to host a World Series, so plenty of pit space for social distancing. Food stands and bathrooms would be an easy fix. Couple of out Lil John's would take care of the rest rooms, and markers on the ground for the cafe', which at our track the seating is outside anyways. But, our governor is keeping us SAFE :rolleyes:, with all his stay at home-keep business's closed. Yet our state is #4 in most Covid cases and deaths???? :realcrazy:

Richmond Dragway says until he can run at 100% he will not open. I suspect that may change....

Virginia Motorsports Park has made no announcements however it is a huge facility and Tommy Frankling will get it in a direction as quick as he can. There has been a major investment put into the track so he needs that ROI. Yes, racers need to start racing again...

Not being a dick... Your post is about the track opening by suing the government. That will always get reactions. I know now that that was not your intention.

Perhaps create a thread asking what tracks are open and what if any restrictions are in place. And preface that you would like to keep it politics free (good luck with that:rolleyes:)
 
Firebird raceway in Boise opens the season this weekend. :thumbsup:
A few guidelines to follow , but nothing to extreme.
