Most all of the sending units on Ebay, Amazon, & other sellers site will not work correctly. There has been multiple posts & discussions here in the last few days. The sender advertised for a van or truck is said to be very close. The basic opinion was to send your original sender out to be rebuilt or get a machmeter box so it can be calibrated.

Yes this seems to be it, Im glad that the one I was able to get out of the parts valiant is original and still reading the correct measurement, looks like all I have to do is clean it up, put the new strainer and install it.

The problem I saw is you can buy the box to the matche the signal but thats kind of spendy and you still have to calibrate it. In this case an original will work just like it should with factory electronics and is the easier solution.
