Just say No to drugs!!!

Unilug wheel, just needs a good cleaning & polishing. If you got it at a decent price, no harm no foul. I've brought worse looking wheels than that back from the dead. All it take is patience & elbow grease.

good luck on the uni dust cap:lol:

Those wheels were made like that. As mentioned, they are called Uni-Lug because they fit more than one application. Very popular in the 70s.

did you powder coat them your self ??? thinking of trying it.....

maybe I can add another skill,,,
No actually met a young kid after moving here who does it as a side job. He did some stuff for his race car and it was impressive.

i would like to have sent them to cudachick because her work is stellar, but shipping would've killed me.

I have one wheel left somehow and from the 70's plus a **** load of non rusted lug nuts. Had some interesting times with those wheels. Here's a hint. Than god for traction bars. :steering:

I’m about to get some wheels powder coated. Could you provide me with the color code and the brand of powder you used? They look incredible... just the color I was looking for!
unfortunately all I know is it's a GM color and he had it leftover. I can ask him. I was in O'reilly's and found the color on a rattle can, he just happened to have this color which crazy as it seems matched.

This is a pic of the car with the wheels. Once I get the 340 call outs and lower rocker stripes on it I'll have the look I was going for. My Harley has the flash, I need something else on the exterior of this.

If you goto the Powdercoaters they can tell you which is most duarable powder and have books of colors to choose from.

Word of caution about powder coated wheels, don't powder coat the surface that mates to the hub /rotor or the inside of the center bore if it is used for centering. I had some wheels done and did not think of it. Took forever to enlarge the center bore to fit the hub, and the coating on the hub mating surface can crush or rub away over time loosening the wheel.

I have a set of those with some old pie crust cheater slick recaps mounted on them. I thought they were uni lugs only to find out they were re-drilled to another bolt pattern. Uni lug nuts didn't work on them. They are now garage art!
