So, i sell some parts at considerably discounted price(ported 2.02 j heads minus springs and retainer and a mixed set of ductile iron rocker arms) to this person. He wants his money back for the set of rocker arms, because it wasnt what he thought they should have been. I was hesitant at first but told this person id rather sell him another set of crane gold 1.5 for the return of the rocker arms and plus 80$ cash, i then decided since he clearly was going to have a problem with everything along the way that would be best if i gave him his money back. He shows up to return them minus the shafts and claims that i never said to return them, only the rocker arms. I give him his money back despite that because generally im trusting of the mopar community, he leaves and i message him stating that he can return them to my job which is closer to where he claims to live rather than coming to my house again. Nothing, no return message, i send another one stating that i assume im not going to get them back and he responds that since they were part of a package deal that he felt i didnt hold up to my part that he doesnt need to give them back. These were new shafts, not entirely cheap to say the least. So, just a warning to people who might run into this person. I told him he knows where i live and gave him my phone number because ive got nothing to hide. I consider myself a fairly helpful person and willing to help others out but it goes to show that these people can infiltrate to best of communities. Im willing to answer any questions in regards to this, but i assume he'll hide behind his computer like the cowards that exist in this world.

Don't sweat it man. You've actually offered to go to "wherever it is you go" salvage yard and look for parts for me before. I've bought a good little bit from you and it's always good stuff and good prices. You got no worries here. Piss on that guy.
 
Hey Jake, don't worry about it. Anyone who has purchased parts from you knows you represent the items well and your prices are fair. Occasionally, we all run across people that just makes us shake our heads! 65'
 
Go see him with ball bat in hand & demand your shafts back. What a DIRTBAG!

I wasn’t going to say anything but I’ve got a real hard time biting my tongue when it come to this stuff. Remember, when you feel you’ve been wronged to can justify any action you want. It’ll come around, it always does.

Had a similar situation, sold a bunch of parts to a guy, have a volume discount, he ended up not wanting most of the parts and asked to return, I said ok, but said that since he only bought one item no discount, let's just say he did not take well to that.

He ended up threating me on my own property, I said what ever and gave him his money back, he knew where I lived and I did not know where he lived so I figured it was worth a few bucks to have him go away.


Funnest thing is that my wife came out with a baseball bat. And after getting her to go back inside she neglected to call the cops!

All's well that doesn't end in a fight.

I lend stuff to very few people. I sell it away. or I give it away. Sometimes I tell the "borrower", that he can give it back to me when he's done with it. By giving it, if it never comes back to me, that person will not go to the Lake of Fire on my account.And by relinquishing possession of something, and it doesn't come back,I have no justifiable cause against that person.
Sometimes it takes a year for an item to come home.Sometimes more and some items are awol after decades, and I don't expect they'll ever be back. No big deal to me.
 
Matt had a customer he painted a truck for. Absolutely beautiful job he did. The guy "happens" to be my backdoor neighbor. now I don't know him at all. Talked to him once after he moved in. Now get this. He took the truck back to Matt about three times over the course of the first year after being painted. Said "it just doesn't look right". So Matt called in his detailer (who charges about $250) on HIS OWN DIME each time and had the truck SUPER detailed. Each time the guy told Matt "thanks, it looks GREAT!" and left happy. Come to find out after the last detail, Matt got to smellin a rat. He looked back at the calendar and sure nuff, each time he detailed it for the guy, there was a car show that weekend. The guy even had the BALLS to do it again and Matt detailed it ONE last time and told him "after this, we're done, don't come back out here again." Some people just think they are entitled to something just because they think they are.

He doesn’t come around often from what it seams, only for info. I didn’t sell it to him on the forum but know he is a member here.

They will get theirs in the end.

but in so many cases, it ruins it for the good guys that can be trusted.

Redeem yourself and do whats right. Maybe throw in a meaningless apology while you are at it.

I’ve be straight up ripped off before, but never have I had someone try to justify their actions like this. It’s not mopars fault you sold me a mismatched set of rockers that had SIGNIFICANT scoring. Why don’t you post up a picture of them?

He owes me parts. That’s easy to see.

He sent me the “I’m just going to give you your money back” message when I was 5 minutes away; I had only brought the “rocker arms” as he instructed.

Why would just give back the rockers when I sold you the rocker arms and shafts? Who justifying what? Come on dude.

I owe you nothing. I told you if I had them you would get them. You told me you took your valves off your heads and used them, so what’s the deal again? You got ported j heads for 200$ because you couldn’t afford to pay mote than that but somehow when the idea of rocker arms were there you had the money? Get your **** sorted out.

This isn’t difficult to understand. You told me to bring the rocker arms* and $80 in exchange for the crane gold rockers. I therefore believed I was getting a set of 16 rocker arms alone. I did however bring the scored shaft(pictured above) to show you what I was talking about; you declined to take it or even look at it when offered.

The “real story” is written in those messages. You may be a stand up member here, but I personally experienced a significant lack of integrity.

I’m not the most difficult person in the world, and am actually glad you posted this here. I’ll leave it up to the forums judgement. It’s all right there.

You showed nothing, if anything you showed how you thought you were wronged and decided to take the power back by whatever pathetic means you could than that obviously meant you weren’t giving them back. Keep them, I’m sure you’ll need them. Good luck in this world you created.

Your personal attacks say more about you than me. I have a build budget like most people. That budget included rockers, but not heads. Would you like me break it down further or do you understand?
