Some of you may know I have not shop. Several sheds, all lockable, l but sometimes I've forgotten one of them overnight. Today HOW DO YOU MISPLACE a big heavy bright yellow DeWalt chop saw?

Been there, done that. I've been looking for my triple beam scale for 6 months, I found the extra weights, but no joy on the scale yet.

my boy lost his jacket yesterday
he had put it on a park bench and it was gone
couldnt find it anywhere

what was worse, in the exact same spot where he had put his blue jacket, someone else had put a grey one

took me all of half a second to figure out he had flung it on the bench face down, and the grey one he saw was the inner lining of his blue jacket

my point is, what does the bottom of the saw look like?

I hate theives, I live in a pretty good place and don't really have trouble. I think we have as many cops as citizens

be real hard to lose a chop saw no matter the color or upside down but I bet I could do it.

man , tools grow feet and go looking for shoe every time i turn my back , lol .

Years ago, my mother fussed at my brothers, my sister & myself. She wanted to know what we had done with the iron. None of us ever used an iron during that time in our lives, most all or our clothing was wash & wear. She went to the refrigerator to get something out & what did she find? The flipping iron, she put it in the refrigerator to cool it off & forgot where "she" put it. We never let her live that one down, whenever she lost something we always asked, "Mom did you look in the refrigerator?"

Well DUH I' bareassed!!! Put it in the garage where I "never" put it, had a box of outboard parts (go figure) in front of it, plus a larger box overlapping on top of the bottom box. So it blocked the front, and "looking down." Just luck. Damn thing might'a been there til I died!!

I think I paid over 200 for it, has always been a POS sorta. Table corners are rounded, make it impossible to use a square off the table. And the table is "stamped flexi flimsy." I've always figured on beefing it with a squared up piece of 1/8? flat steel, never have yet. I've finally made it to "old" and don't have the suds anymore..................and my back hurts

Today trying to devise some rear vertical guides to get the "new boat" on the trailer straight.

My grown son makes my tools disappear all the time. If anything missing he is first one I ask.

i'm only  cause that sounds like me. if i had back all the wasted time i've spent looking for the thing that isn't where i thought i put it, i'd only be 25 years old

i moved out of my parents house at 21
at that point i had ammased a ton of tools, and i could only take a handfull
so, i decided to let my dad have first pick

we walked into my garage (my parents have a big farmhouse, and i had my own garage in one of the outbuildings)
and i let him go through my tool box
his reponse was amazing

"wondering where that went"
"i knew i had one"
"so there thats where it went"

I had a set of early original American racing torque thrust wheels, had them in a unlocked building, was going to put them on a 65 belvedere I had and one of them were missing, don't know if I loaned it for a spare to a buddy or if someone stole it, I cant see somebody taking just one. I sold the 3 I had left, useless to me missing one. I'll be sick when someday a buddy says oh, here's your wheel back.
