Question about quench

This 408 is honestly the first engine I’ve even given it a second thought. I did add quench to my 572 nitrous engine because I was advised to because my head chambers weren’t “softened” for nitrous. I was told this will give me a bigger tuning window.

I agree with that. If you can’t soften the chamber when you need to, then by all means close the quench down. I wasn’t talking power adder stuff though. I’d still rather soften the chambers as a first options.

BTW...did you see what Brett Miller did with that 45ish inch W8 engine???? Absolutely unreal numbers. And RPM. And you all know know I get off on RPM. And that thing gets it on.
Anyway, did you see the pictures of the heads??? Pretty soft chamber for an N/A build. Just impressive what he did. Over 2 HP/CID at over 450 inches. Impressive. On one frigging 4V.
