What aftermarket shifter?

Hey everybody
I'm wanting to know what shifter if any will fit
Without to much trouble into a factory dart console
(1969)
Looking to replace the stock one because every now and then I shift into neutral when manually shifting. (I know it's me, but would like one that wont let that happen by mistake. )
Just a nice fwd. Pattern simple shifter is what I'm after.
 
I used a B&M Quicksilver. Install was simple, works great and other than the knob looks somewhat stock.

You can retain your stock shifter and just weld a small tab on the edge of the “D” gate that will prevent manually over shifting into neutral. Very simple and lets you hit it hard into D from 2nd.

With any aftermarket shifter you’ll have to use a cable from the shifter to the tranny.

I did figure I would need a cable too.
I didn't know about modifying the stock one.
That would probably be better yet!
 
Here’s the gate modified with a deeper detent on the Drive/Neutral gate section.

Here’s the original thread where I was looking for a pistol grip for automatics and a way to stop the slide into neutral from drive.
If I remember correctly I did the detent mod but added a small bit of material to ensure a positive stop at D when hitting it hard from 2nd and made it so it would still slide easily into D from N. Sort of a very small triangle piece.
Sorry no pic of that. Thought I had one but no luck finding it.

Well... I started a cam swap... turned into a huge engine redo with painting everything... which turned into a transmission rebuild and console shifter swap... which turned into 2 weeks of transmission shifting problems... which turned into 3 VB rebuilds, new throttle cable, carb spacer etc... and I just got it shifting properly yesterday

So I dont want to tear into it again lol.

Get some gratification and revisit this project. That's what I did. Too much too far and gonna reel it in lol.... Go drive it and enjoy it...
