What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

... .. the "new" vehicle get picked over before they hit the yard...

I think you got something there. LKQ does sell used parts to shops, This was probably what was left when all high value things were picked off. Not the first time this has happened to me.

spent 6 hours detailing

got the fuel sending unit replaced
added a 3/8th fuel line
converted the stock fuel line to a return

also picked up a new transmission mount, but im saving that project for later
anyone know the best place to put the jack when replacing that mount?

What do you think these seats are from. Dart Sport maybe ? I don't believe there Duster , not "70" Duster anyway.
I believe they are 75 or 76 duster, maybe volare or aspen, do they have storage pouches on the back?

I made some moves that needed to happen. I sold my 512 to adjust where I am at in life.... All good and if we want to visit something more serious than what I have now in the fall I will revisit that whole scenario......

Bought this 360 with X heads. It can drop in as is but better safe than sorry. Verify a few things, make a cam change (small solid) and in she goes lol.....

Just put a piece of wood under the pan and floor jack ...jack it up just enough to hold it and unbolt the crossmember. ...the whole job should take about 20 minutes.

Plus I'm getting my garage organized somewhat.

Been doing a lot more work on my semi-custom dual snorkel air cleaner.
Finished up the body work, did a little sanding, and painting. Looking good, but I'm not sure I'm in love with the color choices I made.
I used this Quarts gray metallic for the lid that I had left over from painting my console top plate. Then used a bright silver metallic for the housing. (the silver isn't cleared yet).

But on the engine, the gray just kind looks out of place. Isn't anything else in the engine bay that color. Wondering if I should have just made the lid black.
I did order some 5.9L Magnum decals off the web, (5.9L is red, Magnum is black) not sure what the placement of the decals will be. Have to wait till they get here and experiment a bit.

Powered up the car for the first time with restored wire harness. All systems work except the ash tray lighter. That's just a easy ground issue.
