Trying to figure out what I have for a front suspension system. It has been installed on a 1954 Ford f100 truck and was told it is a Chrysler front end but unknown what model or year. Would there be any numbers on any of the suspension parts to help determine what it is ? I need to replace the pitman and idler arm. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Pics will tell the tale, BUT- F/M/J K members were/are a really popular swap into those old Ferd F series trucks. Basically a one piece crossmember/suspension system that bolts in relatively easily. If you have transverse torsion bars, that's what you've got.

Look for transverse torsion bars. Below is a Volare front clip. See the adjusters on the front of the K-Frame and what looks like a big sway bar is actually a torsion bar. The sway bar is the smaller one in the front. Mid 70's Camaro and and late 90's Lincoln Continental are other popular swaps.

Back in the day, mustang II was a popular swap.

Absolutely will need photos.

Does it have rack and pinion?

LOL Dana you are slipping. Rack does not have an idler or pitman

Buddy had a Studebaker truck with a volare front end....and a Ford 400M/C6!

someone else here would know better than me, but a quick random look at NAPA shows them all using the same part #
